1. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَO

1. All praise be to Allah alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds,

2. الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِO

2. Most Compassionate, Ever-Merciful,

3. مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِO

3. Master of the Day of Judgment.

4. إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُO

4. (O Allah!) You alone do we worship and to You alone we look for help.

5. اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَO

5. Show us the straight path,

6. صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْO

6. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your favours,

7. غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا الضَّالِّينَO

7. Not of those who have been afflicted with wrath and nor of those who have gone astray.
